Podcast: Somebody’s Daughter

Listen to Steve Siler talking about the Somebody’s Daughter project

Yesterday I interviewed Steve Siler, a man who loves to protect women, children and men from the devastating impact of pornography. As a result, of a friend contacting him for help with his pornography addiction, Steve started writing music that ministers to the soul, and also produced a very special and highly impacting DVD called Somebody’s Daughter. Here is what one therapist says about the DVD:

“Tears stream down my cheeks and a chill rushes down my spine as the last strains of “Free” fade at the end of Somebody’s Daughter. I’ve worked with sex addicts for over a dozen years, and this album tells their collective story in the most powerful way I’ve ever seen. I didn’t expect to be so touched……and I’m grateful.

Somebody’s Daughter breaks the silence about pornography and answers the challenge issued by one recovering addict on the DVD to “Tell someone!” Indeed, Somebody’s Daughter tells the world about the hope of recovery from pornography addiction.

Somebody’s Daughter goes beyond offering hope to men struggling with pornography. It speaks also to the devastated wives who love them. One wife shares with painful elegance about her journey to forgive her husband’s betrayal and to stand with him as they commit to freedom for themselves and future generations.

Raw and realistic, griping, tender, and convicting - Somebody’s Daughter stands in the gap between Satan’s promotion of sexual sin and God’s redeeming hope for a free future.

I recommend it highly. In fact, I’ll insist that anyone touched by this issue gets a copy.”

Podcast: A Former FBI Agent Talks About The Last Undercover Mission He Had Infiltrating NAMBLA

An FBI Agent's Story of Infiltrating NAMBLA
An FBI Agent’s Story of Infiltrating NAMBLA

I have been very excited about this interview ever since I heard Bob Hamer interviewed on another radio program. As a result, I was able to get in touch with him and request an interview. We had a few conversations before this interview, and the more I talk to this man, the more I like him.

His story is amazing, and the best part is that it isn’t a fairy tale - he is the real deal. As I have read through this amazing story, many of the things I have known about NAMBLA - the North American Man Boy Love Association - have been proven true.

For example, NAMBLA is primarily filled with pedophile predators and NAMBLA’s members are mostly homosexuals. Despite what the homosexual activists will tell you, there is a definite connection between homosexuals and boylovers. (AKA - BL) In fact, I have a homosexual boylover by the name of Nelson Garcia who frequents my blog often. At one time he was affiliated with NAMBLA, but currently denies that he has any connections with them. And what I find interesting is that there are so many homosexual activists who openly support Nelson Garcia.

Back to the book - Bob Hamer has not only written about his experiences infiltrating NAMBLA but he has also written about his other cases which include: drug dealer, contract killer, residential burglar, degenerate gambler, international weapons dealer, racehorse fixer, and white-collar criminal.

As you read the book it’s like sitting with Bob as he tells his story, and the book is arranged in such a way as to give you a break from the NAMBLA investigation. Trust me, some of the stuff these NAMBLA members do will turn your stomach. For example, gawking at boys, of at all places TOYS R US.

So, if you’d like to read a real life account of a real live FBI agent and see how the good guy wins and exposes the evil of predators at NAMBLA, then I urge you to get a copy of this book.

Bob Hamer, is indeed an American Hero, and he’s definitely a hero of mine. Once you hear his story and read the book, he will be yours also.

Oliver North endorses this book by saying, “In this riveting, sometimes shocking account of his undercover work with the FBI. Bob Hamer vividly describes how he confronted evil with brains, bravery, and well-founded faith. THE LAST UNDERCOVER is the inspiring story of a real American hero.”

I needed another reason to use this very cute picture. So I thought I’d share with you some prayer quotes to motivate you in your time of prayer today.

Feel free to share your prayers in the comments also. All comments are moderated.
I have so much to do that I spend several hours in prayer before I am able to do it.—John Wesley

I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had absolutely no other place to go. — Abraham Lincoln

Always respond to every impulse to pray. The impulse to pray may come when you are reading or when you are battling with a text. I would make an absolute law of this – always obey such an impulse. –Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Pray often, for prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan –John Bunyan

Is the Son of God praying in me, or am I dictating to Him?….Prayer is not simply getting things from God, that is a most initial form of prayer; prayer is getting into perfect communion with God. If the Son of God is formed in us by regeneration, He will press forward in front of our common sense and change our attitude to the things about which we pray. –Oswald Chambers

Those who know God the best are the richest and most powerful in prayer. Little acquaintance with God, and strangeness and coldness to Him, make prayer a rare and feeble thing. –E. M. Bounds

Podcast: Porn Nation - Part 2

Picture 37

Listen to part 2 of our conversation with Michael Leahy, author of Porn Nation.

A couple of days ago I had the opportunity to speak to Michael Leahy, author of Porn Nation, about his struggle with pornography and I feel this is a book that everyone concerned with addiction and the prevalence of pornography in our society should read.

I highly recommend every pastor or anyone in ministry read this book. Michael and I talk about his story, which is compelling, moving, very intimate and real. This is a book that deals in the reality of the damage that porn addiction is. Leahy discusses how he literally lost everything because of his addiction, and he also talks about his recovery and gives counsel to those who may be struggling in this area.
